Please Note: If you have a 2004 please verify the top mount of the rear shock! If it is a eyelet then you need part # 8805-1003, if it has a vertical stud top mount then you need part # 8805-1002.

Rear Heavy-Duty Shock Upgrade – KONI FSD for Workhorse W-Series / R26 UFO / Chevrolet Kodiak C4500 & C5500

Koni Frequency Selective Damping (FSD) shock absorbers provide superior handling characteristics without compromising ride comfort. The FSD is firm where you need it, such as through corners, but rides soft over expansion joints and rough roads. A special valve filters out annoying vibrations before they enter the vehicle, resulting in a smooth ride over a variety of road surfaces.


Applications:
  • 2004.5-2011 Workhorse W20, W22 & W24 with Stud Top and Bottom Mounting
  • 2003-2011 Kodiak C4500/C5500 with Stud Top and Bottom Mounting
  • 2007-2008 Workhorse R26 UFO
  • 2007-2012 Workhorse W62 Commercial Chassis


Please Note: If you have a 2004 please verify the top mount of the rear shock, if it is a horizontal bolt then you need the 8805-1003 Koni for the rear. If it is a vertical stud then this is the proper rear Koni for your coach. If your build date of your chassis was 3/30/2004 or later (VIN -43392081 or higher) this would be the correct shock.

I just received my order of 8805-1001 and 8805-1002 Koni shocks. When I opened the box for the rear 8805-1002 shocks there was an instruction sheet inside which appears to talk about adjusting the shock by turning 1-4 revolutions. I am confused I thought these (gold) shocks were completely self adjusting and there was no stiffness adjustment I needed to make. The instruction number at the top is 1027 05 00 00 301/2 on one side and 1027 05 13 42 on the other. Does this really apply to this shock? These shocks are for my motorhome with a workhorse chassis W22. ( Craig Larson, 03/12/2019 )
You are correct, the FSD (gold) shocks are self-adjusting. For some reason, Koni puts the adjustment instructions in all their boxes so just ignore that.
