Ford F53 Class A Motorhome Suspension, Steering and Handling Upgrade

If your Ford F53 Class A motorhome feels like it’s constantly wandering, chasing road grooves, or requiring nonstop steering correction, the TRAC F550 Front TruTrac Bar is the fix.

Manufactured by Roadmaster Suspension Solutions (RSS), the Davis TruTrac bar is engineered to control excessive front axle side-to-side movement — one of the primary causes of wander and rut tracking in solid front axle motorhome chassis. By stabilizing the axle laterally while still allowing full vertical suspension travel, the TruTrac dramatically improves steering response and straight-line stability.

Special Notes:

Verify that your chassis does not already have a factory front track bar before ordering!

You may need to remove the front suspension bump stop impact plate in order to install the axle bracket

I presently have a safety plus bolted to the driver side rear ubolt . Can this be bolted to the front u bolt ( William Green, 03/22/2021 )

You will need to remove the Safe-T-Plus to install this trac bar so we would recommend keeping both mounting brackets on the rear U-Bolt. You may have to get a longer U-bolt to accomplish this.

Can this be installed with my current sumo springs in place ( Ferryl Deshotel, 12/14/2018 )

We do not see any reason why there would be interference. Most F53's come from the factory with a front trac bar and we install SumoSprings all the time on those. Are you sure your chassis does not have a front trac bar already? You can send us your VIN if you aren't sure.
