UltraTrac Heavy-Duty Bell Crank Arm – Eliminate Steering Play on Chevy/Workhorse Chassis

Suitable for use with the SuperSteer P3032 Bell Crank or the stock bell crank, the UltraTrac Bell Crank Arm is stronger than the factory part, which can wear out prematurely and create steering play. The UltraTrac Bell Crank Arm is precision-built to handle the high steering forces common in this application and produces better steering feel.

How can I tell if the idler arm is bad. It seems like it has spring pressure on the ball pivot. The vehicle has 14000 miles on it.

Ronald,

You will need to have the front end on the ground with someone in the drivers seat. Start the engine while you are underneath watching the pivot point while the person in the drivers seat rocks the wheel back and forth. If you see movement other than the natural twist of the joint then you know it has worn and should be replaced.
