Truck fires up fine after sitting for up to 10 minutes, or for over 10 hours. Hard to start between that time. also get a p0300 intermittent misfire a couple times a month but only during part throttle cruising between 60-65 mph. Fuel mileage seems to vary randomly from 10-13 mpg with the commute and traffic conditions. Mostly runs well though. Could this be causing these issues? ( Scott Andersen, 11/05/2020 )
Your issue sounds more like a failure of the fuel pump itself. Have you had a fuel pressure gauge hooked up to see what it is doing when the issues are occurring?
I did a fuel pressure test this morning and noticed that the fuel pressure dropped rather quickly down to about 20psi after turning off the key. There is quite some fuel leaking through that little vacuum hose connected to this damper into the intake manifold. Makes for a hard start when warm and also a rough idle, engine is not running smooth. I smell raw gasoline at the exhaust also. Should there be not gas coming out of this damper under any circumstances, key on or off or when engine is running? Thanks for your help. ( Fritz Nueesch, 12/16/2019 )

It sounds like your fuel pressure regulator diaphragm has failed, which will require replacement: https://www.ultrarvproducts.com/19245530-Fuel-Pressure-Regulator-(7.4L-8.1L-up-to-2003)

Will this work in a Chevy 2006 Winnebago 8.1 L Vortec Engine? Thank you so much for your prompt reply. ( Randy Imberi, 06/13/2019 )
Yes it will.
