I am interested in ECM, Do I need to run higher octane fuel? Also I am interested in TCM tuning but I have a problem with mine right now , sometimes the trans goes into a mode where it wont go,only on start up does this happen. There is a wire that i found that if i press on it it fixes it for a long time.but the connections are good.is it possible its in the TCM ? Should I look for a TCM or find someone to look at that before tuning.Thank you in advance Mike Vance ( mike vance, 10/30/2023 )
Unless you specifically request a higher octane setting, we default to 87 octane for our tuning. It could be that you may have a slightly bent or corroded terminal in the TCM cavity. I don't think pressing on a wire and it making a difference would have anything to do with the TCM itself, unless just coincidence.
