Description:

The SuperSteer Trim Unit provides on-the-fly control over the popular Safe-T-Plus hydraulic steering control unit. The Trim Unit bolts to the Safe-T-Plus device and the motorhome's front axle, allowing the driver to adjust trim at the flip of a switch. Simply correct the wheel in the direction you want to go, flip the switch, and a new center point is established. A great aid in fighting strong side winds.

The picture of the product shows a large bracket in the second picture. Is that bracket supplied with the trim units. I already have the supersteer installed. Also, I installed the original SuperSteer. Is the Trim install pertty straight forward? I'm ready to place my order. ( Michael Laderoute, 12/06/2021 )

Hello - Yes the kit comes with the necessary mounting hardware/brackets. You will reuse the tie rod bracket that you already have installed. The install is fairly straightforward, you can click on the instructions to review.

So my question is why not have a video on installing Trim Unit on Freightliner XC , That"s the only thing stopping me from going forward with the purchase . In Wisconsin its not that easy to find a dealer who has the knowledge to do the install.Lets get with it I'm not the only one waiting . ( Joe Gillespie, 08/03/2020 )

A video would be helpful, I searched and found some DIY videos, but SuperSteer doesn't seem to have one. I personally have installed many of them and we can certainly help with any installation questions

I'm sorry but we do not have a video of an installation. We recommend contacting SuperSteer directly to see if they have something they can send to you.

As far as we know, this fits any straight axle Freightliner XC chassis.

If I order the Freightliner XC Safe-t-Plus trim unit and Safe-T-Plus Blue, do I also need to purchase the mounting kit (F143-K2)?

Tom,

Yes you will still need to order the bracket kit as the Trim Unit only replaces the anchor bracket. You will still need the tie rod bracket and hardware to complete the install.
