The fan clutch should start engaging around 208 degrees Fahrenheit and become fully locked up around 218 degrees Fahrenheit.

Operation Information:

Engine fan clutch on motor home 8.1L equipt units kick in at about 178 Degrees F and is fully engaged at 201 degrees F. This is air temperature past the fan clutch hub. It is not coolant temperature.
