I want to ask how the fuel gets to my generator with this fuel pump 25178125 2003 workhorse chassis.
What are the 3 lines coming out of the pump?
I assume sending, return and generator?
My generator line is plugged after running a couple hours and my coach bogs down going up hill.
Want to make sure this supplies fuel to the generator as well as the coach

Hi Dave,

The fuel is not supplied to your generator via the engine fuel pump. The generator has a fuel pump mounted on it with a suction line that runs into the fuel tank. The three ports on the engine fuel pump are for feed, return and evaporative emissions. Generally if your fuel tank is at 1/4 tank or lower your generator will not pick up the fuel as they don't want you to run the fuel tank dry by generator usage. The best way to diagnose if the fuel pump is your engine performance issue would be to hook up a fuel pressure gauge at the fuel rail on the side of the engine. I would contact your generator manufacturer to inquire about the fuel feed and fuel pump system for it.

I'm not sure my request to check the above pictured Fuel Pump Assembly #(25178125) will fit in my 2002 Workhorse Chassis Motorhome. VIN # 5B4LP57G723338060. I need to know the length of the whole unit. the one I pulled out of my 2003 National Dolphin is about 14" long from flange to bottom. it had a part # on it - #28114309-02

I looked up the specs on this fuel pump and it gives me a total overall length of 17".
