I interested but not clear what if the suction cup accessory for? Does the unit remain plugged in at all times? ( Jay, 04/04/2020 )
No, the suction cup mount is simply for those that want to keep the unit plugged in to monitor engine data. You can load the tune and unplug the device, which is what the majority of our customers do.
I have 2006 Ford E450 10 cyl 14ft U-Haul van that I purchased for towing my race car. Vin number is 1FDXE45S56DA65635. Will your system work with this vehicle, what improvements can I expect, and can you send the device pre-loaded? Thanks! ( Steven G Lisa, 03/01/2020 )
Yes, we can tune your vehicle, that is not a problem. Gains would be approximately 40 horsepower and 45 lb.-ft. torque and improved shipping. We would only be able to send the device pre-loaded if you have the means of pulling the strategy or calibration code with a scan tool.
I have a 2015 F53 V10
How does a tune effect tow/haul mode?
( Brian Fullerton , 02/24/2020 )
Unless requested to have something changed in tow/haul mode, we do not make changes to the shift points in this mode.
In relation to the UPFORD - Ford V10 Ultra RV Tune do I understand it correctly that I need a PC laptop with me to install the software? I live in one state and the RV is in a different state and I do not plan on taking the laptop.
Thank,
Glenn

Yes, a PC is required to transfer the e-mailed tune file to the device. Most Ford scan tools will read the strategy code, they might call it a calibration ID or something else though. If you can get that code beforehand, we can make the tune, load it to the device and send it ready to go, no computer required.

Considering using the Ford V10 Ultra RV Tune in a 2013 Class C 23' motorhome, Ford v10. Would I need to burn premium gas or could I stay with regular? Internet is not definitive. The motorhome shifts are probably the main issue I would like to change and of course if I can get other benefits, great!

Thanks,
Glenn

The tune is designed to work with 87 octane fuel, no need for premium.
