Same question as the previous poster, on the 2021 Ford F53 V8, are there programs you can choose from. My primary question is do you have an option that signals the board to turn the TowHaul ON? ( Joe M, 07/21/2024 )
We make one custom tune for your vehicle but if you want modifications/adjustments made to that tune we do offer that at no charge. As for your question regarding tow/haul, do you not already have a button to turn it off and on?
This is a 2021 F53 7.3L Godzilla V8. Will this be something you pick a tune (like to maximize fuel economy) or could choose on the run different ones? Do you just plug this in the OBDII port? I get about 8 MPG when towing and wonder realistically if that can improve. I get about 8.7 MPG w/o a tow vehicle, of course mostly depending on wind and speed but on a calm day I go about 63-66 MPH. Just bought this used 2004 class C rv with the ford e450 6.8l v10. Surprisingly it has only 27k miles but there is a misfire so I need to fix first, hopefully.
I live in Colorado at 8500’ elevation. At most, I will be pulling 3,000 pounds of trailer with gear.
What device do you suggest and what info do you need from me during the purchase?

We would recommend our UPFORD tuner for your new RV!
The Brazels verses 5star challenge.
I read in one of the reviews about the 5star challenge.
Can you explain the purpose of the challenge the difference between the 2 units.
Thank you
( David Iceberg, 05/27/2024 )
We have had a lot of folks ask what the difference was between 5 Star and our product. We both offer custom tuning to improve the performance and shifting so for a limited time we offered those that had already purchased 5 Star a chance to try our tune to see what the difference was. The people that did take us up on the offer, found both tunes to be beneficial with ours having slightly more power.
We are looking to buy an E350 chassis RV with the 7.3L.

It looks like the chassis will be a 21 or 22 model which will have the premium tune from the Ford factory at 350 horse and 468 torque.

Will using the tune affect the Ford factory warranty?

Thanks

No, it will not affect your warranty. First of all, when you tune your vehicle the, SCT Tuner stores the stock file onto the device. When you are going to go in for warranty work, you can return the computer to stock settings. The SCT tuner, unlike other brands, leaves absolutely no footprint in the PCM history. In order to deny any warranty repair the dealership has to prove without a doubt that the tune was the cause of the damage. We can thank the Magnusson-Moss Warranty Act for this.

If you are overly concerned with this topic, talk to your dealer. Ultimately they are the ones that will make the decision. This goes for any other aftermarket modification.
