Koni 8805-1022

Description:

Koni Frequency Selective Damping (FSD) shock absorbers provide superior handling characteristics without compromising ride comfort. The FSD is firm where you need it, such as through corners, but rides soft over expansion joints and rough roads. A special valve filters out annoying vibrations before they enter the vehicle, resulting in a smooth ride over a variety of road surfaces.

We have a 2016 Newmar Mountain Aire in the Freightliner SL chassis. Which part numbers in the Koni shocks do I need for the 3 axles? ( Paul Clapham, 05/13/2022 )
Do you know when you might see this shock in stock again? I will need 4 of them. ( Joe Libke, 10/20/2021 )
We are due to receive more inventory around the beginning of November. ( Support )
Do we need Koni shocks 8805-1022 for the rear Freightliner chassis on both drive and tag axle? Also is one larger than the other and are mounting holes the 19.?? Size on both. Or are the needed shocks the same size for both drive and tag axle? Thanks Walter ( Walter Auen, 04/21/2021 )
The drive axle would take 2 shocks and the tag axle would take 2 shocks. They are the same size for both axles and the mounting holes are 3/4" (19mm) top and bottom. ( Support )
Recieved my order of Koni shocks for the front (evo-99b). I would like to order the rear shocks for the same MH(2013 Newmar MountainAire- Freightliner chassis). Do you have 8805-1022 Koni shocks in stock and available for immediate shipping? Is this the best shock for our 43 ft MH? Thank you. Walter
    ( Walter Auen, 04/21/2021 )
The 8805-1022 is the correct & best shock for both your drive and your tag axles. They are in stock and can ship immediately. ( Support )
Looking to replace shocks on 2013 Newmar MountainAire. Thinking about Koni EVO -99B for the front. Please advise as to whether this would be appropriate for our coach. Freightliner independent suspension.
If a good choice, do you have them in stock and available to ship. Also please quote a price if available. Thank you
    Walter
    ( Walter Auen, 04/11/2021 )
Yes, these Koni shocks are a very popular upgrade on the Freightliner ZF front IFS. We do have them in stock as of 4/12/21 but they have been going quick. Current cost is $199.39/ea. ( Support )

Front shock absorbers are going to be the Koni 8805-1020 and the rear will be 8805-1022. We have both in stock and available to ship. ( Support )
Will this work as a Rear Shock 2006 Country Coach Inspire - non tag axel
    ( 11/18/2019 )
No, this shock is not correct for that application. The best way to determine the proper shock for a Country Coach is to get the part #'s off the original shocks absorbers. ( Support )
2003 Allegro phaeton. Freightliner chassis’s. Sachs shocks front: 141700131810. Sorry can’t read rear shocks. Do you have a good replacement shock for front and rear? Thank you ( Noel peterson, 04/16/2019 )
Yes you will want to use Koni part #'s 8805-1020 for the front axle and 8805-1022 for the rear. ( Support )
Hello, I ordered these shocks from a different company. They came with an eye of 14.2mm rather than the 19.15mm eye shown by you. Thus, they don't fit. The outfit I bought from has been less than helpful. It looks like Koni has a bushing kit that would convert this to the 19.15mm eye - Kit #1200 or individual Rubber bushing 15-23-34-027-0 and Steel Bushing Insert 70-52-11-195-0

Is my thinking on this correct? Or do I need to come up with another solution. Also, are they eyes on the shock you have actually 19.15mm?

    Thanks for your help.

    Bill
    ( William Crowley, 10/26/2018 )
It sounds like you were sent 8805-1022SP1 shocks which are actually more expensive than the standard 8805-1022 which has the 19.5mm bolt holes. I just went and checked our inventory and they are correct. Were they mis-boxed as normal 8805-1022's? You will probably have the best luck reaching out to Koni directly and sending them in to them to be either exchanged or modified to the correct bushing size. ( Support )

what model koni shock do I need for 2014 itasca solei. freightliner chasis cummins deisel motor. I'm guessing 8805-1022.

    ( Gregory Worrell, 04/13/2016 )

    Gregory,

As long as you have the solid I-beam front axle (this is the most common) you would need 8805-1020 for the front and 8805-1022 for the rear.

looking for Koni shocks for 2002 National RV - Islander 40 feet on a Dynomax chassis. Would like Koni part #'s and prices.

    ( Larry Baumgardner, 02/22/2016 )

    Larry,

Being a Dynomax chassis, the application listing would be under Country Coach. I'm not sure which Country Coach model the Islander is most like so you will need to find that out or give us the part #s off your exisiting shocks so we cant try to match them up.
