Description:

One look at Banks TorqueTubes tells you how radically different they are from the stock exhaust manifolds. Constructed of heavy-wall, 400-series stainless steel, TorqueTubes have 1/2-inch-thick flanges that are welded on both sides and then machined perfectly flat (no gaskets needed). These are designed to mount up with the factory flange before the catalytic converter. If that has been modified, you will likely have to do some welding. Yes, they will have the necessary pipes to connect to the existing catalytic converter flanges , replacing the front section of the exhaust system . ( Support )

The torque tubes have a shield in place where needed only, stock heat shields will not fit ,the kit comes with heat wrap for the nearby hoses and wires. ( Support )

Your VIN shows an 04 model year chassis with a build date in August of 03, the 04 did not have an EGR so the 49542 should be correct. If it is an earlier model, then Banks kit 49504 would have an EGR fitting. ( Support )

I have your ultrapower tune already, will the tune need to be altered with the install of headers. Is there any noticeable power gain at 3200 rpm or less. I'm not one of those flat footed let'er scream up the hill guys ( Thomas Ressler, 05/02/2019 )

You would notice an appreciable gain in torque under 3200 RPM with the TorqueTube headers. You shouldn't require a re-tune with the headers installed. ( Support )

2006 Bounder 35E (but chassis built 2005) Do your p/n 49542 headers bolt up to the existing exhaust system? I will probably install myself but would like a quote from you for installation.
